Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Did you all have a good weekend?
Today I'm sharing a masculine birthday card I made for a friend:
What do you think? I know a lot of crafters dread masculine cards but I absolutely love them!
I started by die-cutting the T-Shirt from some Simple Stories So Awesome patterned paper using the MFT Masculine Graphic Tee die. I then inked the edges with VintageTouch Tea Dye Duo ink to help give it a bit of definition.
Next I stamped the splatter from Grunge Me using Kraft and Fine Linen inks. I then followed with the grunge circles, inking up with a mix of Pure Poppy, Canyon Clay, Simply Chartreuse and SU! Soft Suede ink to give the multi-coloured effect.
I added some stars from Military Stars using Kraft ink, then added the guitar from the A:Muse Rock Star set using SU! Soft Suede ink, then accented with a couple of the music notes from Boy Basics: Rock On using Kraft ink.
Now, onto the base. I used a Rustic Cream card base and stamped the large chevrons from WaltzingMouse Stamps' Woodgrain set (can you tell how much I love this set?! I'm having trouble not using it on everything!) using a mix of Simply Chartreuse, Canyon Clay and Kraft inks. I added the little arrow strip from the Studio Calico Block Party stamp set (December 2012 scrapbook kit) using a mix of Kraft and SU! Soft Suede inks.
Finally I stamped the sentiment from MFT's Masculine Graphic Tee set using SU! Soft Suede ink and adhered the T-Shirt to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel. My friend isn't all that keen on acknowledging his birthday so I didn't use a birthday sentiment on the front!
A quick peek of the inside shows the sentiment from Boy Basics: Rock On stamped with SU! Soft Suede ink as well. No escaping saying Happy Birthday here! *wink*
Well, the weekend came and went far too quickly didn't it?! I didn't create anywhere near as much as I wanted to. Hopefully this coming weekend will be different! Thanks so much for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Awesome card Taheerah! I like making masculine cards too (I better, I have two boys ages 9 and 10 and all their little friends to make cards for). I may need to get that T-shirt die as it works so well with the Grunge Me set (along with the PTI game on and rock on?) sets that I already have. Thanks for the inspiration!
