Clean & Simple Card Making 2 - Day 8 - More Inking & Stamping Techniques

Hi everyone! How are you today?

This is my second post of the day. To see my latest card in my 14 Days of Valentine's Cards series just scroll down. :-)

Day 8 was a really inspiring one in the Clean & Simple Card Making 2 class - lots of eye candy!

Our homework was another one to take an old or a new technique and showcase it. I don't like to CASE or 'copy' anything ever (it's just part of my weirdness) so instead I took a little inspiration from Jennifer's use of rainbow stamping and decided to make a card featuring a strip of rainbow colours:

What do you think? I know it's not a stamping technique but it's still a technique so hopefully I can get away with it! They never said it had to be a stamping technique! *wink*

I started with a panel of Stamper's Select White cardstock and adhered a 1/2" strip of Scor Tape to it.

I then coated the tape with different colours of Martha Stewart Fluorescent Glitter, one colour at a time, achieving a slight blend between each colour.

I then adhered a strip of 1/8" Scor Tape and coated that with Fluorescent Black glitter. I then stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant's Smitten set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I adhered a strip of True Black cardstock to my card base - love that bold strip of black! I then adhered my panel to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel for a little dimension, and that was me done!

I do hope you like my little card, and that it passes for Day 8's homework! I did take some of the principles, such as balancing bright colours with white and black, and a bold sentiment, so hopefully that still counts, lol!

I'll see you back here tomorrow I hope, thanks for stopping by friends!

Well I can't comment on the homework side of things, but aesthetically I'd give this a big, fat "A"! Thanks, as always, for sharing how you did it!

So striking! You need a "pin it" button on your blog! I'm really inspired by all of your CAS creations.
