This is my
Well, Day 9 of the Clean & Simple Card Making 2 class focused on ways to add texture to your projects whilst still keeping them clean and simple:
I opted to use a dry embossing technique with an impression plate. Here are the results:
I have to admit I'm crushin' on this card just a bit! I love how bright and bold and fun and colourful it is!
I started with a panel of Stamper's Select White cardstock and decided to emboss it with the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate. However before doing so I used a trick of tapping ink onto the plate before embossing.
This was the perfect opportunity to dig out my Hero Arts Neon inks again!! I embossed this panel a total of three times, once for each of my inkpads (pink, yellow and orange) and am super thrilled with the results!!
As there is already a lot of colour and texture on this card the final details were to stamp the image from Think Big Favourites #23 set using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then heat embossing with Clear Filigree embossing powder.
Finally I added the little heart to the centre, using my Simon Says Stamps Mini Heart Set dies to die cut the heart from Stamper's Select White cardstock, tapping it into my Versafine inkpad, and then heat embossing clear a couple of times then adhering to the panel using Pinflair Glue Gel.
I mounted the panel onto my white card base and I was all done!
Well, I don't know about you but I am *so* ready for the weekend! Lots of crafting planned again, so I hope to be bringing you a lot of eye candy!
Thanks so much for stopping by - let's get the weekend started!
