Today I'm bringing you the second in a mini series that I started a week ago! I am very excited to present Couture Christmas!!
Some of you who follow my blog may remember me saying I planned to create Christmas cards this year and actually send them out to people! I started designing cards the other weekend and found that what I was creating was closer to a boutique stationery collection, in my opinion at least! Some of these are so lush I don't want to send them out - but I will!!
There will probably be around 5 collections I will bring you, one a week, and covering a range of styles of cards, from graphic/modern, to cutesy, to traditional/solemn, to vintage, to just plain extravagant! I can hardly wait!!
Each collection will be a limited run of exclusive designs, and will be beautifully packaged and presented. I'm still working on concepting the packaging part, but it will be stunning!!
Ready to see more?! Let's get started, shall we?!
Presenting... Collection 2:
Couture Christmas: Collection 2 - Elegant Merry & Bright Tree
Limited Run of 1
Presented and packaged in silver tissue paper
OMG OMG OMG!!!! I loam *so* in love with this collection!! This is the one that made me think 'boutique stationery'!!!
Let me show you how this first looks, after you've unwrapped it from the silver tissue (I still have to purchase that, hence no pics yet!):
A soft vellum overlay, stamped with the Merry And Bright Chalk stamp, with just the faintest glimpse of bling beneath!
Here's a view of the back:
Sophistication all the way with this vellum wrap! A strip of Shimmer Pink cardstock and a shimmery snowflake sticker, stamped onto adhesive paper with the circle from 2010 Holiday Tags and heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing powder!!
Once you slide off the wrap you're presented with that Shimmer Cream card with that *gorgeous* tree which is a stamp from Hero Arts. Stamped and embossed with that same embossing powder and then blinged to excess with all manner of sequins, pearls and rhinestones!
Isn't that something to behold?! Here's a close-up of the tree:
And I had to decorate the inside of this one too! The sentiment is from Instant Photo: Holidays and I added little snowflakes from In The Meadow too! I think I used Memento Luxe ink in Angel Pink for the pink, but I might be wrong, it might be A:Muse ink in Blush or Shell. There was a lot of experimenting with this design, lol!
I am planning only a limited run of 10 for this collection as this is quite a labour-intensive design. And those giant rhinestones ain't cheap, and there's only one of that design per pack!! But oh my, what a stunner this is!! Can you imagine opening up your mail and finding this beauty inside?!
BTW - are you loving that fake snow I've used for the photos?! I got some amazing stuff from eBay that you add to water and it makes the most realistic fake snow I've ever seen! It's even cold, and slightly wet!!
So I'm dying to know what you all think so far!! Each one of the collections will be completely different so I do hope you'll keep tuning in to see them each week!!
Thanks so much for stopping by - I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
